Approximately five years ago I took a first-time homebuyer program; Teri was one of the speakers who impressed me as being professional and knowledgeable. So you're wondering why it took me so long to buy a house, well, life happens! But through the years I kept in contact with Teri, who gave me encouragement to find my forever home.
After looking on Trulia and bugging Teri about every house I thought I wanted, she patiently reviewed each one with me and gave me the pros and cons. (Oh, did I mention I'm a senior and didn't want too many stairs!) This went on year after year until March 2020, when she found a home on East Nebraska with what I wanted, though it needed work. I was up for the challenge!
Because this was a relocation from Chicago to Peoria and my first home, Teri was understanding and courteous. She was prompt for the showing and we started the tour. She afforded me time, gave history of the house, future potential, and the area. This was it! I found my home! Now to negotiate the price: she was awesome. She knew I wanted this house and worked very hard to make sure I was given the best price. I closed on May 7th (my knees were shaking) on my forever home!

I would highly recommend working with Teri! She is great!! Teri took the time to meet with us when we were in the information gathering stage. She knew we were still looking for an agent so at that point there really was nothing in it for her. Yet she was the ONLY one, out of all of the agents that we met with that invited us to her office and gave us an overview of the process and what to expect and what information resources were available to us. All the other agents just wanted to take us out and show us houses right off the bat. We didn't have a pre-qual letter or even a bank picked out yet.
Once we got all of our ducks in a row and seriously started looking Teri was a pleasure to work with! We could send Teri a listing in the morning/early afternoon and later that night we would be meeting up to see it. She gave us advice when we asked for/demanded it (it was actually very hard to get her to give us her opinion) but we never felt like she was trying to influence our decision.
We looked at sooo many houses and put in soo many offers, and all along Teri was super supportive and patient with us. We definitely loved working with her and if/when we are in a position that we need an agent again we will be contacting her.
