The Commitment to Excellence endorsement is NAR's way of putting professionalism to the test. Agents complete a self-assessment across the core competencies of the industry, then work a learning path built from the gaps it reveals.
Launched by the National Association of REALTORS®, C2EX has members assess their proficiency in the competencies that define good practice, from client service and communication to technology, laws, and regulations. The program generates a customized learning path of courses, experiences, and tools, and it requires periodic renewal so the endorsement means current knowledge, not a credential collected years ago.
What the endorsement means
C2EX is an endorsement rather than a one-time designation: it has to be maintained. Earning it also fulfills the REALTOR® Code of Ethics training requirement, which means the agent is actively engaged with the ethical standards of the profession. For brokers, the program covers an even broader set of competencies, which fits a Broker Associate who leads by example.
