What is a RESA CSA?

RESA CSA stands for Certified Staging Advocate, a designation from the Real Estate Staging Association. It means the agent has completed RESA's staging coursework and understands how presentation affects the way a home sells.

A RESA CSA is an agent who treats staging as part of the marketing plan, not an optional extra. The designation comes from the Real Estate Staging Association, the professional body for the staging industry, and it means the agent knows how a home should present before it ever goes on the market.

The Certified Staging Advocate credential is earned by completing RESA's course for agents, which teaches staging as a pre-market marketing strategy: how presentation protects the seller's interests, reduces risk, and supports stronger offers. It gives an agent the language and the judgment to work well with stagers and to advise sellers on what will actually move the needle.

What the designation means

RESA is the Real Estate Staging Association, the industry association for professional stagers. Its CSA designation is for real estate agents who complete the association's staging education. Holding it means the agent can talk about staging credibly: what to stage, what not to bother with, and how to guide a seller through the recommendations of a staging professional.

Why it matters to you

For sellers, presentation decides how quickly buyers connect with a home and how the home is perceived relative to its price. A CSA-trained agent gives honest guidance on which updates and staging choices earn their cost and which are unnecessary, so your budget goes where it counts. For buyers, staging knowledge helps separate a well-cared for home from one that is only well-disguised.

In a market where the first two weeks of a listing carry most of the weight, presentation is strategy. Teri brings staging knowledge into the pricing and marketing conversation from the start, so your home shows at its strongest from day one.

Teri Shepherd holds the RESA CSA designation. She is a Broker Associate at Keller Williams Premier Realty with more than 10 years of residential and commercial experience serving Peoria and Central Illinois, licensed in Illinois under number 475.135244.
